Police say an ‘accelerant’ was poured through a letterbox and set alight
Detectives are investigating a suspected arson attack on a house in Bury. It’s thought an ‘accelerant’ was poured through a letterbox of a home on Great Hall Close, Radcliffe and set alight in what’s been described as a ‘targeted attack’.
No one was injured in the blaze, which took place around 2am yesterday (Saturday). Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with mobile phone, dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage to come forward.
Det Sgt Niamh McCarthy from Bury CID said: “We understand this incident may cause concern within the community, however, our assessment is that it was a targeted attack, and there is no risk to the wider public.
