New footage of Steven Lyons being extradited from Indonesia

New footage has emerged showing Steven Lyons being led through an airport in handcuffs after being booted out of Bali.

The 45-year-old was filmed being flanked by Interpol officers from the Jakarta National Central Bureau. The captured crime boss was arrested in the sun-soaked paradise island on March 28 by Indonesian immigration officers.

Spanish authorities had requested an Interpol red notice for the gangster. He is set to be extradited to Spain to face £26m money laundering charges.

His move back to Europe was delayed while cops worked on an ongoing probe – but the underworld kingpin has finally been flown to Amsterdam ahead of his move to Spain to face the major charges.

Indonesian police have now released a video of the gangland figure being marched through the airport. It shows Lyons being escorted through Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.

Interpol agents are seen moving the cuffed criminal off a plane, while he carries and yellow bag and has a travel pillow around his neck. He is taken along escalators and is filmed in discussion with cops.

The video then shows Lyons being handed over to Dutch cops in Amsterdam. Flo Rida’s 2007 hit Low was playing over the video, uploaded to social media by Indonesian cops in a swipe at the gangster – as they said there is no safe place for “fugitives” in their country.

A statement from Indonesia’s Divhubinter Polri said: “Steven Lyons, the subject of Interpol Red Notice on money laundering, who was arrested in Bali on March 28, 2026, was successfully deported on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The deportation process is carried out with a tight escort (escort) by personnel Set NCB Interpol Indonesia Divhubinter Police.

“The repatriation route departed from Bali to Jakarta, and then flown to Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In the implementation of this deportation, the Set NCB Interpol Indonesia team coordinated fully with Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Immigration officers to ensure the smooth administration of suspects before leaving the jurisdiction of the Republic of Indonesia.

“Set NCB Interpol Indonesia prioritizes the commitment to eradicate Transnational Crime by arresting international DPO suspects subject to Interpol Red Notice. There is no safe zone in Indonesia for fugitives.”

Lyons is now being held by military police at a secure location in Amsterdam after being flown to The Netherlands from Bali on Wednesday morning.

It comes after news emerged that Lyons’ wife Amanda was arrested at Dubai Airport after being flagged up as a wanted person by the Interpol.

The 38-year-old was nabbed in the Middle East last month as part of the ongoing international probe to derail the Lyons clan’s drug trafficking network amid the ongoing turf war in Scotland.

Dubai Police have since confirmed she was arrested after systems flagged her up on an Interpol Red Notice – a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, acting as a high-level alert for wanted fugitives.

While not an international arrest warrant, a red notice restricts international travel, freezes assets, and severely damages reputation.
