A teenage boy has been taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ following a stabbing in Nottingham.

A large police cordon was set up in Coventry Road, Bulwell, after emergency services were called to the reported stabbing at around 5.30pm on Good Friday, April 3.

A 17-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, according to Nottinghamshire Police.

The force said the cordon will remain in place while detectives were “working hard to establish exactly what happened”.

Video shared with Nottinghamshire Live shows at least seven police vehicles stationed near the junction with Main Street earlier in the day.

Chief Inspector Iain Blackstock, said: “This investigation is in its early stages and we are working hard to establish exactly what happened.

“Officers are working in the area to gather evidence and we would also like to speak to any witnesses who have yet to come forward.

“We would ask anyone who has any information or CCTV footage surrounding this incident to get in touch.”
