A West Lothian car overturned on a major road on Friday morning, April 10. Images taken on the M8 after Livingston show the vehicle on its roof at the side of the busy carriageway.
The crash took place around 10.30am. It’s not yet known if there have been any injuries. The road is currently restricted westbound at Junction 3-3a with drivers warned of delays.
A number of people can be seen crowding round the car with others sitting on the grass. The vehicle was left upside down with some debris strewn across the road.
A statement from Traffic Scotland reads: “The M8 is restricted WESTBOUND due to a road traffic incident. Traffic is also slowing eastbound.
“Drivers should use caution on approach and expect delays. Current delay approx. 14 mins.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
