The tenant will not be allowed inside
A nightmare neighbour has been banned from entering a Truro home for another three months at least.
Persistent anti-social behaviour led to police shutting the property down earlier this year for an initial three-month period, which seemed to be successful.
The location on St Thomas Close has now been hit with a second closure order after “relieved” residents reported a “significant reduction in anti-social behaviour”.
The first closure order was issued in January and a second was granted on March 31, banning the tenant and any visitors for another three months.
The closure order was issued after Truro Neighbourhood Police and Cornwall Council investigated the problem property.
PC Wilson of the neighbourhood team said: “The property had been the cause of a number of issues for local residents in the area.
“It’s important that people feel safe and secure where they live, and the first order was really effective in helping to stop ASB and provide relief to local people.
“When there is a disruption to safety in an area, it’s important for us to take action to protect and safeguard the community from any harm or concern they experience.
“Thank you to everyone who reported issues to us directly or via Crimestoppers. I hope this shows just how vital your information is in helping us to secure orders like this to disrupt crime and antisocial behaviour in our local area.”
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police added: “A second closure order has been granted at a residential property in Truro making it illegal for anyone to step foot inside for an additional three months.
“The property, located on St Thomas Close [Truro], was issued with an initial three-month full closure order earlier in January this year. A further order was granted on 31 March 2026, again banning the tenant and any visitors from entering the address for an additional three months.”
