‘Your information could prove vital in helping us trace him’
An urgent search has been launched for an Englishman who has not been seen since March 9. The male, whose name has only been given as Jess, is 44 and was last seen in Greenhaugh, near Bellingham.
He was reported missing a week later. Following extensive police inquiries and a previous appeal, Jess has not been found. It’s understood he may have travelled to Edinburgh prior to being reported missing, reports Chronicle Live.
Northumbria Police officers said they were “not ruling out the possibility” that he had returned north of the border. The police have also released new images of Jess, courtesy of his family.
Det Insp Nick Went, of the force’s missing persons team, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who has so far provided information towards our investigation to locate Jess. It is much appreciated by ourselves and his family.
“Our search for Jess remains ongoing and we’d encourage anyone who may have details of where he may be – no matter how small or insignificant they feel it is – to get in touch. Your information could prove vital in helping us trace him.”
Jess is described as white, 5ft 11in tall and of slim build with short brown hair and blue eyes. The police appeal continued: “Jess, or anyone with information on his whereabouts, should send Northumbria Police a direct message on social media or use the live chat and report forms on the Force’s website.
