‘We can’t wait to welcome our first customers inside’

An opening date has been announced for a new M&S supermarket on Lothian Road. The store will open on Friday, May 1, and is located at the former Ali’s Cave store site.
The supermarket will allow shoppers to enjoy a range of M&S favourites, including a freshly stocked in-store bakery offering pastries and the popular ‘Food to Go’ range.
The store will offer the Collection Wood Fired pizzas and ready meals alongside a range of treats, including their famous Percy Pigs. A dedicated Click & Collect point will also make it easy to collect online fashion, home and beauty orders.
The opening has created 22 new jobs across customer service and operations.
Alistair Brannigan, Store Manager at M&S Lothian Road, said: “We’re so excited to open our newest store in the heart of Edinburgh, where customers can quickly and easily drop in and grab our delicious food products, whether they’re travelling to or from work, or spending the day at the shops.
“With just a few days to go, we can’t wait to welcome our first customers inside on 1st May.”
Opening hours for the new store are between 07:00-22:00 Monday to Saturday and 08:00-22:00 Sunday.
