Baby rushed to hospital after taking unwell at Scots home as cops launch probe

The baby boy was taken to hospital after police were called to a home in Perth.

A baby has been rushed to hospital after taking unwell at a Scots home. The alarm was raised at around 5.40pm when officers were alerted to a 10-month-old baby boy having fallen ill at a property in Perth on Wednesday, April 29.

Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, rushed to the residence on Rannoch Road and the child was taken to hospital for treatment.

The infant’s current condition is not yet known. Officers from Police Scotland have launched an investigation to get to the bottom of what happened as the full nature of the incident remains unknown at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.40pm on Wednesday, 29 April, 2026, we received a report of a 10-month-old baby boy having taken unwell at a property on Rannoch Road, Perth.

“Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
