Emergency crews rushed to the fast food restaurant at the heart of a busy retail park
A boy from Birmingham was arrested after a teenager was stabbed at a McDonald’s restaurant.
It happened at a branch in Bitterscote Drive on the Ventura Retail Park in Tamworth yesterday, Monday, March 30.
Police and ambulance crews were called at around 8.30pm to reports of a stabbing. A boy of 15 was detained.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on Bitterscote Drive at 8.24pm.
“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT (Medical Emergency Response and Intervention Team) trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic attended the scene.
“On arrival we discovered one patient, a teenage male, who was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to hospital for further assessment.”

Staffordshire Police confirmed the incident took place inside the restaurant. A 15-year-old boy from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Police appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: “A teenager has been arrested after a boy was stabbed in Tamworth.
“Just before 8.30pm yesterday, were called to a report of a stabbing inside McDonald’s on Elmhurst Drive.
“A teenage boy was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his lower back. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
“A 15-year-old boy, from the Birmingham area, has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
“He remains in custody as our enquiries continue.
