Man arrested after serious Highland crash leaves driver in hospital

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage as enquiries into the collision involving a Volkswagen Amarok and a Peugeot van continue.

A man has been arrested following a horror crash in the Highlands that led to a person being rushed to hospital.

The crash happened around 2.30pm on Friday, April 10, on the A835 near Garve at the Gorston junction. It involved a blue Volkswagen Amarok and a white Peugeot Partner van.

A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Kate Finlayson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
