Access to frontages will be maintained where required.
Where and when the restrictions apply
The closure covers the A45 Coventry Road between its junctions with Lyndon Road and Wagon Lane, near the B26 postal district. The prohibitions will only operate at such times and to the extent shown on traffic signs installed under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Diversion and travel advice
An alternative route for affected vehicles will be signed on site. Drivers are advised to follow the marked diversion, allow extra time for journeys on the A45 and surrounding routes, and consider using public transport where possible. Bus services using the corridor may be diverted; passengers should check with their operator before travelling.
Why the road is closing
The council says the temporary prohibition is “required” to enable Major Sprint 2 works to take place in safety. Precise work scheduling and any phased closures will be managed on site.
