A police knife crime team saw men acting suspiciously in a Birmingham suburb, chasing and arresting them after they tried to flee the scene
Deadly weapons were seized after suspected drug dealers were seen ‘acting suspiciously’ in a Birmingham street.
Officers from West Midlands Police’s Guardian Taskforce spotted three men in Lozells yesterday, Tuesday, April 14.
They tried to flee but were stopped after a short chase on foot.

Following searches carried out by the Guardian youth violence and knife crime team, officers recovered an axe and a machete and three men in their 20s were arrested.
They were detained on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons and drug dealing.
They remained in police custody today, Wednesday, April 15.

West Midlands Police said: “Three men have been arrested after our Guardian Taskforce recovered an axe and a machete in Lozells.
“Our Guardian Taskforce were patrolling around Lozells yesterday (Tuesday), where they spotted three men acting suspiciously on Lozells Road.
“Following a short foot chase, three men were detained.
“Three men, aged 22, 23, and 24, were arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons, and possession of drugs with intent to supply. All three remain in custody for questioning.
“Following searches carried out by the Guardian team, officers recovered an axe and a machete.”
