Three robbery arrests have been made in Birmingham this week following an armed raid at a Lidl supermarket and a woman targeted in a car
Robbery suspects have been arrested in Birmingham in connection with two separate incidents at a leading supermarket, and another woman was targeted in a car.
West Midlands Police officers were alerted to an armed robbery at the Lidl store in Dudley Road in Winson Green on Monday (April 13).
A staff member was attacked and hurt and thieves stole items from the shop.

But officers acted quickly and caught two men within 20 minutes of receiving the robbery report.
The stolen items were also recovered and the staff member is said to be ‘recovering’.
Stephen Ngangi, of Hay Park in Balsall Heath, aged 48, and Guyo Katleo, of Oxhill Road in Handsworth, aged 28, were arrested.
They have both since been charged with robbery, while Katleo was also charged with threatening a person with an offensive weapon.
They are both due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (April 15).
While in a separate incident, a woman in Edmund Street in the city centre was also robbed on April 5 (Easter Sunday).
She was sat in a car when items were taken but was said to have been ‘not seriously injured’.
Police spotted a man wanted on suspicion of robbery in the city centre on Tuesday (April 14).
The 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been bailed with strict conditions as police enquiries continue.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We’re taking action against robbery, with three people arrested in Birmingham.
“At around 7.20pm on Monday (13 April) officers responded quickly to a robbery at a supermarket on Dudley Road.
“It was reported that a staff member had been hurt and several items had been taken from the shop.
“Within 20 minutes of the report coming in to us, two men had been detained and the stolen goods recovered.
“The pair, from Birmingham, are due before the city’s Magistrates Court today (15 April).”

The statement continued: “Separately, officers had been investigating a robbery in the city centre on 5 April, where a woman was targeted as she sat in her car.
“Items were taken from her but thankfully she wasn’t seriously injured, and our team began enquiries to find who was responsible.
“While out and about early yesterday (14 April), eagle-eyed city centre officers spotted a man wanted on suspicion of being involved.
“The 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been bailed with strict conditions as our enquiries continue.
“Robbery is a serious crime, and we don’t underestimate the impact it has on victims – which is why we’re working so hard to tackle it.
“In Birmingham and across the West Midlands, officers are here for you 24 hours a day, and we would urge anyone with concerns to speak to us.”
