Our thoughts are will all those who have lost a loved one

Announcing the passing of a loved one in local news media is a long standing tradition and we are proud of the trust placed in us to make these important announcements.

Every notice published to our newspaper and news site also appears on funeral-notices.co.uk – the UK’s number one site for death notices and memoriams.

Every notice remains online forever providing friends and families with a lifelong tribute to their loved one, a safe place online to share memories, add tributes, photographs and make donations in memory.

Each week we pay tribute to the loved ones remembered in our area with a funeral notice and online tribute page.

Born 14th November 1945. Passed away 13th March 2026. Cheerio Phil my amazing kid brother, in so many ways the centre of the family. Paul’s playmate for many years. Gerald’s pal for many more and mine too. All the jobs you did for Ann and me. The walks our families went on and the meals we had. I also fondly remember labouring for you a time or two, including on the ‘Great Wall of Wick’, where we took time off to listen to England in the 2004 World Cup. Birding was another shared passion, especially that Grasshopper Warbler up Lansdown. You had a very hard time at the end Phil but were brave to the last. Deepest sympathy to Jan and family. From Brian, Ann and Family.
