Tickets for the event are on sale now
An exact date has now been announced for the return of a popular Christmas lights trail at a Kent wildlife park. From Friday, November 27 2026, Port Lympne Illuminated will once again transform the safari park near Hythe with twinkling lights and festive decorations following the attraction’s successful debut last winter.
Bosses at the wildlife park report that visitors turned out in their tens of thousands to explore the after-dark trail, with tickets nearly selling out in its inaugural year. Now organisers say the second year will be even better than the first, with the trail to feature a number of new additions.
A spokesperson for Port Lympne said: “Building on its strong animal theme, the 2026 trail will introduce brand-new installations featuring new species, bringing fresh stories and visual spectacles to the experience. Guests can also look forward to a brand-new zone, extending the journey further, a reimagined Elf Disco and a truly exhilarating grand finale, designed to leave visitors with a lasting sense of wonder.”
Also returning this winter will be Santa’s Grotto, giving little explorers an opportunity to meet the jolly man himself during the festive season. Tickets for Port Lympne Illuminated go on sale today (April 24) and prices start from £15 for kids, £24 for adults and £75 for a family ticket.
The Port Lympne team added: “To avoid disappointment, early booking is highly recommended. Each element has been carefully crafted to elevate the magic, blending nature, light and storytelling into an unforgettable festive adventure.”
