Chloe, 16, died after being found with stab wounds in the street

DJ Tom Zanetti has issued a warning message after a teenage girl was stabbed to death in the street.

The Leeds star DJ, rapper and music producer, who is known for hits such as You Want Me, posted a message following the death of Chloe Watson Dransfield.

Chloe, 16, from Gomersal, died after she was found with stab wounds in Kennerleigh Avenue, Austhorpe at around 6am on Saturday, March 28. Three people have since been charged with her murder.

Tom posted on Facebook: “Knives are for f***** idiots. Please if you need to settle differences use ur hands, and eveyone can walk away. No death no jail. Don’t use a knife wow be smart, such stupidness over nothing aswell can’t believe it.

“So sorry for Chloe Watson Dransfield taken way too young, sorry to her family and friends it’s really heart breaking. Please share this post the link is below to donate. Praying people come to their senses knives are for idiots. God bless Chloe and her loved ones x”

Tom posted a link to the GoFundMe which has been set up on behalf of Chloe’s family. So far it has raised more than £17,000 to give the teenager the ‘best send off’.

The GoFundMe was set up by Chloe’s cousin Shantelle. It says: “Hi my name is Shantelle. I’m setting up a go fund me for my 16 year old cousin who’s life was sadly taken in tragedy, 16 years young didn’t even make it to her 18th her whole life was taken in a flash over a boy, her mum is distraught she has left two younger siblings behind. I wanted to create a go fund me to help give her the best send off possible she didn’t deserve this she was so full of life such an innocent beautiful soul taken too soon.”

Kayla Smith, 18, of Kennerleigh Avenue, Archie Rycroft, 19, of Middleton Park Road, were charged with murder alongside a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons. They all appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning and remanded into custody before their next hearing at the city’s Crown court on Thursday.
