4/20 marks the day people across the world celebrate cannabis and counterculture. It usually involves gathering together and smoking, which hundreds of people in Leeds did. The peak time to celebrate is at 4.20pm, which saw hundreds of people getting involved.
Videos and pictures show people smoking and celebrating in Woodhouse Moor in Hyde Park this afternoon. The scores of people were mostly smoking cannabis and marking the worldwide celebration. Some people had set up small marquees and tents, while images show others sitting on the grass.
In 2022, Woodhouse Moor was left in an untidy state, with litter strewn across the park and overflowing bins unable to handle the volume of cans, takeaway boxes, and other rubbish.
