Met Office forecasters predict bright and sunny weather over the next couple of days

Temperatures will climb to 22C in Greater Manchester today amid a warm spell of weather across the UK.

Warm and sunny weather is forecast for today (Thursday) and tomorrow, according to the Met Office. Highs of around 22C are expected in our region later this afternoon.

Wall-to-wall sunshine is predicted for much of the day. Tomorrow will be even warmer as temperatures climb to 24C in Manchester, Met Office forecasters predict.

More bright and sunny conditions are expected as temperatures peak at around 3pm tomorrow afternoon. A similar picture is forecast across much of the UK amid a warm spell today and on Friday.

It will feel slightly cooler on Saturday in Manchester with highs of around 19C forecast. On the overall outlook for the North West for today, the Met Office said:”Another dry and sunny day across the region.

“After a chilly start, it will warm up through the day, although a brisk wind will make it feel fresh in places. Maximum temperature 21C.”

On the outlook for tomorrow, forecasters said: “More sunshine on Friday with lighter winds. Another very warm day in the sunshine an isolated shower in the afternoon, could turn thundery by the evening. Maximum temperature 23C.”
