Two more people have been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed in an “attempted murder” in Edinburgh.
An investigation was launched after an incident took place in the Calder Gardens area at around 4.10pm on Thursday, April 2. A 38-year-old man was rushed to hospital for treatment after emergency services were called to the housing estate. His condition remains unknown.
Detectives said they were hunting four men in connection and officers appealed for information. Police then confirmed that two men had been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder.
The pair, aged 25 and 21, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Saturday, April 4. Officers have now confirmed that two further men, aged 32 and 28, have been arrested and charged in connection.
They are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, April 13. Several emergency vehicles including police and ambulance resources were seen parked outside Cobbinshaw House South after the incident took place.
Footage taken by a resident showed two police cars, two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle outside the door to the block on Calder Gardens. A uniformed officer was also seen speaking to the public.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two further men have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Edinburgh. The incident happened in the Calder Gardens area around 4.10pm on Thursday, 2 April, 2026, when a 38-year-old man was attacked. He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“Two men, aged 32 and 28, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, April 13.
“Two other men, aged 25 and 21, were previously arrested and charged. They appeared at the same court on Saturday, April 4.”
