Britain's Got Talent schedule shake-up tonight as Cardiff choir perform

Date:

ITV are airing the latest Britain’s Got Talent live semi-final in an earlier timeslot this weekend due to a schedule clash with the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 final

Britain’s Got Talent fans will need to get settled down on their sofa earlier than usual this weekend.

Saturday (May 16) fourth live semi-final will air at an earlier time due to the Eurovision Song Content airing live on BBC One from 8pm.

BGT has been airing at 7pm for weeks but this weekend will start an hour earlier at 6pm and will air until 8pm.

The roster of acts performing this weekend was announced on the official BGT social media platforms on Thursday (May 14).

Featuring in the live show will be the iconic Epic Sax Guy, singer Kristel Herrera, musical magician Rafferty Coope, rapper Ren DMC, poet Sonny Green, musical firework act Wei Yamin, gymnasts Welsch Master Team and Cardiff’s own Glan Taf Boys Choir.

The Welsh school choir impressed the Britain’s Got Talent judges with their performance of Never Enough from the Greatest Showman during the audition stage of the competition.

Head judge Simon Cowell revealed at the time he had a “little surprise” for his fellow panellists Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI, explaining that choirmaster Lloyd Macey was a former X Factor contestant and that he had met with him, and the choir, previously.

Simon surprised the choir from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf when they thought they were attending the unveiling of a statue honouring someone significant in music.

What they were unaware of was that it wasn’t a genuine statue whatsoever – it was actually the reality star himself. After their impressive performance, Amanda declared they had done “Wales proud”.

The semi-finals will be broadcast on consecutive Saturday evenings, with the grand final pencilled in for Saturday, May 30.

Viewers can look forward to seeing singer Matty Juniosa, who earned Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer, alongside performer Anastasiia and her dog Salsa in the grand final, having claimed victory in the first semi-final.

They will be joined by second semi-final winners Sadeck Berrabah and LMA, who secured Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer, as well as the remarkable magician Fabian Fox.

Additionally, third semi-final winners Liwei Yang who received KSI’s Golden Buzzer and comedian Ted Hill who won the audience vote.

You can watch the fourth semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent this Saturday, May 16 from 6pm on ITV1 and ITVX
