The public have been warned ‘don’t approach him – call 999 immediately’

A man is wanted by police after making ‘threats to kill’ in Birmingham.

Japeth Wellington is wanted by West Midlands Police after he is said to have made threats on Thursday, March 19.

Wellington hails from Birmingham but his last whereabouts is not known.

Police have now issued a photo of the 38-year-old.

And officers are asking for the public’s help to find him.

But the public have been warned if they spot him – not to go up to him – but instead to call 999 immediately.

Wellington is pictured with short black curly hair.

He has a distinctive ‘Leanne’ tattoo on the left side of his neck.

In issuing the wanted appeal, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Do you know the whereabouts of Japeth Wellington?

“The 38-year-old is wanted for making threats to kill in Birmingham.

“If you see him don’t approach him but call 999 quoting crime number 20/184943/26.
