Birmingham man charged with drug dealing offences after e-scooter stop

A 34-year-old man has been charged with drug dealing and motoring offences following a stop by a police major and organised crime proactive team

A Birmingham man has been charged with series of drugs and motoring offences after an e-scooter stop.

Officers from Staffordshire Police’s major and organised crime proactive team stopped an e-scooter rider in Chase Terrace on Thursday (April 16).

He was searched as was an address in Brownhills in Walsall the same day.

Now, Michael Marvin Davis, 34. From Birmingham has been charged with possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to deal the drugs.

He was also charged with possessing cannabis, possessing criminal property and using a vehicle without insurance.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “A man has been charged with heroin and crack cocaine supply offences after we found drugs in Chase Terrace and Brownhills.

“Michael Marvin Davis, 34, of Birmingham, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – heroin.

“Also possessing criminal property, possessing a controlled drug of class B – cannabis and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.”

The statement continued: “It comes after officers from our major and organised crime proactive team stopped the rider of an e-scooter in Chase Terrace on Thursday morning (April 16).

“Officers also searched an address in Brownhills on the same day.”

Davis was set to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Friday (April 17) for the first hearing.
