Man, 48, dies after horror crash in Manningtree

Another passenger is in a serious but stable condition

A man who was riding a motorbike has died after a collision with a car. Essex Police is looking for any witnesses or dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Manningtree.

Officers were called to the scene of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Clacton Road at about 3.45pm on Wednesday (April 8). Police then closed the road for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene.

Sadly despite the best efforts of paramedics a 48-year-old man, the motorcyclist, has died. A second person, the passenger on the back of the motorcycle, remains in a serious but stable condition.

A spokesperson from Essex Police said: “We are appealing for any witnesses or dashcam footage in relation to this collision, and ask anyone with information to contact us quoting incident 714 of Wednesday, April 8.
