Urgent search underway in Bolton as man, 94, goes missing in his pyjamas

Police are becoming ‘increasingly concerned’ about Cyril after he went missing in the early hours of the morning

Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to trace a missing 94-year-old man from Bolton.

Cyril was last seen on White Croft at around 2.08am this morning (Thursday, April 30). He was wearing a long-sleeved white pyjama top, red chequered pyjama bottoms and navy slippers.

Officers shared a picture of him in what he was last seen wearing as part of the appeal to find him. He is described as being a white male, who is around 5ft 3in tall and of slim build.

A search is underway to find Cyril as officers become ‘increasingly concerned’ about him. Anyone who spots him, or who has any information on his whereabouts, should contact Greater Manchester Police.

The appeal said: “#MISSING | Can you help us find Cyril (94) from #Bolton? He was last seen on White Croft, Bolton at around 2:08am this morning (30 April 2026).

“Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Cyril and want to make sure he is safe and well. Anyone with information of his whereabouts is asked to contact us on 0161 856 2661 or via Live Chat on our website, quoting log 553 of 30/04/2026.”
