Edinburgh police and paramedics rush to 'ongoing incident' on major road

Edinburgh emergency services are at the scene of an incident on a major road on Monday evening. Officers and paramedics were spotted on Calder Road westbound around 6.30pm on April 27.

The exact nature of the incident has not been confirmed but one local claims a person was struck by a car. Two police cars and one ambulance was pictured at the scene.

It’s not known if there have been any injuries.

One concerned passer-by said: “Something has happened on Calder Road westbound. It looks like someone has been run over.”

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
