It’s ‘about good energy without the fuss’
A new Edinburgh bar is ‘ready to reveal itself’ after mysterious signs appeared across the city. The Beverly, which is launching in the former Innis and Gunn on Lothian Road, is promising a ‘lively and easy-going space’.
QR codes have appeared over the city which direct locals to ‘Bev’. Owners say this sets the tone for what the venue is ‘all about’.
The Beverley is said to be ‘about good energy without the fuss’. The team said: “The idea was to create somewhere relaxed but never dull, lively but never overwhelming.
“It’s a place for locals, theatre-goers, and anyone who enjoys a bit of character with their night. Perfectly positioned on Lothian Road, The Beverly is set to become a natural meeting point for Edinburgh’s social scene, whether before curtain call, after work, or long into the evening.”
Innis and Gunn closed down their Lothian Road venue in 2024, along with their pub at The Shore. The unit previously operated as The Beer Kitchen.
The Beverly team added: “At its core, The Beverly is about good energy without the fuss. Whether guests are stopping in for a quick pint before a show at Usher Hall, settling in for the evening, or simply passing by and tempted to stay for one more, the space is designed to feel instantly welcoming.
“Warm lighting and a seamless flow of live music carry the atmosphere from day into night, creating a buzz that never feels forced. Behind the bar, the focus is simple: do things properly. Expect well-made cocktails, perfectly poured pints, and a team that knows how to look after people without overcomplicating the experience.”
