A man from Newcastle has become a millionaire after matching five numbers and the bonus ball in the National Lottery draw
A Newcastle man is still in disbelief after winning £1 million on The National Lottery. The anonymous winner bought a Lucky Dip ticket for the March 18 Lotto draw but “never expected to win”.
But after matching five numbers and the bonus ball, he has started planning for his future and intends to use his winnings to get on the property ladder.
Speaking on his win, he said: “I never expected to win, so I’m just trying to get my head around it all! I plan to take all the support provided to make sure that my future is secure.”
Abbie Suddick, Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the prize winner. She said: “Congratulations to our mystery winner, you never know when it could be you! We wish you many happy memories in your new home!”
Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. They can also buy and check tickets in retail.
Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.
