Polling Stations in Leeds for 2026 Local Elections

Voting will be taking place across the city of Leeds in May

Across the city of Leeds, voters will be heading out to make their voices heard at polling stations.

There, they will be voting of their preferred candidate for a third of the seats on Leeds City Council, and another three due to vacancies. Unless you’re voting by post, you’ll need to head out to a polling station to cast your vote.

At the current time, Leeds City Council is controlled by the Labour Party with 56 seats, with the Conservative Party following with 13 seats overall. The Green Part have six and the Liberal Democrats also hold six seats.

The rest of the council is made up of the Garforth and Swillington Independents, with three seats, the Morley Borough Independents, with three seats, and the SDP, with three seats. Reform UK have two seats, and there are three independent councillors.
