Inside revamped Kent McDonald’s after month-long closure

Date:

New images have given a look inside a revamped McDonald’s branch following a month-long closure. The branch of the fast food chain in Bridge Road, Sheerness, on the Isle of Sheppey, welcomed back customers on Tuesday, March 31.

Having closed in mid-February, the restaurant has undergone an extensive overhaul and now features a refreshed layout alongside improved technology for a “more seamless and enjoyable” experience. The redesigned kitchen and dining areas aim to better cater to digital sales channels, integrate use of the McDonald’s App and enhance the dine-in facilities.

There are dedicated areas for the different methods of ordering and the front counter has been removed in an effort to “offer a more efficient way to order” and provide customers with a larger space to dine. Improvements have been made for the restaurant crew as well, with a redesign of the crew room to create a “more relaxing and comfortable” space for breaks.

McDonald’s franchisee, Paul Crocker, who owns and operates the Isle of Sheppey McDonald’s, said: “I’m proud to reinvest in our restaurant. The dining area is more contemporary, and we now have separate facilities for our dine-in customers and our couriers leading to a better experience for everyone.

“It’s exciting to see the fresh new look and feel of our restaurant and I’m confident the changes will not only benefit our customers but also our restaurant team as these will help make their jobs a little easier.”
