Cheetham Hill incident RECAP as man dies with forensic tent and cordon in place

A police cordon and forensic tent were in place on a street in Cheetham Hill this morning after a man died.

A stretch of Lord Street was taped off, outside the Lincoln Gate flat block. Officers were first called to the scene in the early hours of this morning (April 30).

Paramedics were also pictured on the scene. A forensic tent was erected on the road outside the flat block.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed a man has sadly died. A force spokesperson said: “We responded to an address on Red Bank, Manchester following reports of a concern for welfare at around 4am this morning (30/04/26).

“Officers attended and despite best efforts of emergency services, a man aged in his 30s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death at this time.”
